Philanthropy:  the effort or inclination to increase the well-being of mankind, as by charitable aid or donations.

The Going Green Foundation is dedicated to organically growing a network of empathy, benevolence, charity, and action towards building a sustainable healthy future for us and future generations.

Green has finally reached the American consciousness, which is why now is the right time to share the knowledge and attempt to raise environmental and health consciousness world-wide.  Many of us realize that we cannot continue wasting and consuming the way we have been, escpecially considering that the developing nations look towards us to industrialize.

We need to start setting the right example.  The first step is awareness and education.  We have found that education is more effective when it is tied to something tangible.  For example,  the idea of conserving energy by rennovating a house to have better insulation and more effiient heating and cooling systems has much more impact when the home owner has to write smaller checks to the energy companies.

Types of Philanthropy

It isn't just about money, although funding always helps:

  • Volunteerism
  • Donations
  • Sponsorship
  • Grants
